We the people of Kuruma community right from ancient ages live in groups just like a strong wave coming towards the success. We don’t dare to come out independently and fight for the rights to live in a democratic world. We need to change as we are known to be one of the biggest community which is existing from a long run. The change should lead towards the highest place in this competitive world where we should be scattering our development to all the corners of the life in the present world. So we need a platform to be placed from where we can build a force by educating, energizing the present world of Kuruma’s (shepherd’s) to lead towards knowledge based growth right from village to the urban areas in all respects. For every information and knowledge, the present world using the latest tool of e-interfaces as a path is to reach every Shepherd in the world
Hence keeping in view the present scenario of the community as well as the present world We four Mr. Ramanand Dadwai Kuruma Mr. Gorige Mallesh Kuruma, Mr. Jetta Ajay Kuruma and Mr. Mandula Navin Kuruma came forward with the concept of developing a web portal for the society which was encouraged by the veterans of Kuruma community.
Before starting the WEB we have consulted various people right bottom from shepherd, community members and Dean – Professors who have researched on the Community. As there was a short span of time for developing the portal We developed the interim web portal to meet the deadline to launch on Auspicious day of 28th Oct 2007 that is on the occasion of 31ST DASERA SAMMELANAM at Dharmapuri Skhethram, miyapur, Kukutpally, Hyderabad by Sri Bandaru Dattatreya , President A.P.B.J.P, ( Ex Central Minister.).
“Let’s join and explore as world leaders”
To connect kurumas worldwide, provide a healthy and strong platform for promotion of Kuruma culture, language and heritage and network the expertise, experience and skills of kurumas worldwide for building a harmonious, peaceful and prosperous Kuruma community.
An Important aspect of Socialism is concerned with narrowing down the gap between the haves who have far more than they can ever use and the have-nots who cannot even got the banest necessities like food clothing and shelter of the dimplest kind.
90% of people belonging to this community and who are leaving in rural areas are living in such deplorable conditions. Methods of raising their level by providing opportunities of remunerative employment and inducements, is a formidable task calling for great understanding, patience and perseverance. This would certainly increase the grass national output and the percapita income and raise the standard of living.
For this youth of this community have to work day and night under available guidance of elderly and elited personalities for social educational, political and financial development of entire community.
Whatever systems we follow we should provide Education for all by providing hostels for poor students in all District and Mandal headquarters.
We must first create a climate for rapid economic growth for we can have control on leather industry, manure industry and wool industry and also we can provide nutritious food to millions and millions of people of our country. When there is Economic prosperity, Social Justice will follow.
One of the major social problems facing the world today is the Unprecedented of Upheaval, unrest and discontent prevalent among the youth whether rich or poor developed, developing, under develop and un developed. The Youth revolt does not reflect any adherence to political ISMS or Serious causes like fight against exploitation and tyranny. Politicians are exploiting the of youth and making a mass in order to further their own political ends and personal ambitions.
Benefits can never be accrued to the Kuruma community unless and until the youth of kuruma community occupy decisions taking places such as MPPs, MPTCs, ZPPs, ZPTCs apart from village sarpanches. Demands of the community can be fulfilled unless and until people belonging to this community are MLAs & MPs. If a nation is to progress and if an individual is to succeed as a leader, we have to have disciple and character at all levels. If we want to prosper it is required for us to imbibe discipline and character in youth of our community and more team leaders in the society to lead are and all in every aspect. Only then the future will be theirs to build, shape and enjoy as they will. So the youth of our community should learn know how to rule tomorrow and enjoy the future.
REFORMS REQUIRED
For the development Kurumas it is required for us to take up following reforms and insist government to help us in all these aspects
1. Previously APCO and wool federation was separately managed. Few years back they were merged together thereby wool societies could not get sufficient fund and detoriated day by day. The factories which were manufacturing hundreds of blankets daily were closed down and all the wool weavers have become poppers. Now it is responsible of the present government to separate wool board from APCO and provide sufficient funds to uplift the wool society members.
2. Organised marketing facility shall have to provide shelling out sheep and goat at slaughter houses, skin of goat and sheep, wool of sheep and excreta of sheep and goat also have to be taken out in an organized marketing societies. So that benefits thus occurred to be given back to KURUMAS.
3. For the utility of above raw material that is mutton skin, wool and fertilizers, packing them up duly refined separate factories to be established.
4. Sheep and goat will be subjected to several deceases in a particular seasons hence suitable medicines sufficient quantity have to be made available in each and every village and they may be provided Mobile medical vans at the gracing lands. 11. Mordanized methods, Modernized process can be started in factories to utilize wool and other raw material of sheep and goat to enable Kuruma to beneficiated in particular and stating general.
12. Let us all work together shoulder to shoulder for the benefit of all round development of Kurumas in our state. Thus we have to become strong politically socially and economically
This shows that we are still under British policy
WE NEED INDEPENDENCE
To leverage the immense power of Internet technology and empower kurumas with the knowledge of their great culture and imbibe in them a deep understanding and love for their community and society as well.
We have only one mission i.e all sided development of Kurumas in A.P in Particular and in India in general. We happened to be at present completely down trodden and our literacy rate is only 7% to 8%. Where as our country and for that matter A.P’s average is 62%. It was just 0.5% in 1950. Because of the efforts of few great personalities of this community, standard of living of the people belonging to Kuruma Community literacy rate has increased substantially but far behind many communities. This development could be possible due to the farsightedness and guidance of eminent personalities such as Sri.Kolluru Mallappa MP Sri.B.Beerappa IAS, Sri.Poolchand Gandhi, Sri.Annarao the Ministers in erstwhile Hyderabad state. Personalities like Sri.Darga Durgaiah, Sri.Chittam Srisailam, Sri.KaleKaleshwarrao, Sri.Koride Eshwaraiah, Sri.Gulleni Veeraiah and many others toiled day in and day out to keep the entire community together and made everybody to work together for all round development in Kurumas in erstwhile Hyderabad state and later on motivated some youngsters to work similarly in A.P. In Order to keep the community and the people intact to function well a head, we require a bridge between us, so only Web is the solution to keep intact of all committees which are existing physically right from Village, Mandal, District and State to exhibit ourselves to modern world.

• To provide for a ‘Job Opportunities Link’ in the website that will help prospective Kuruba candidates to create a profile that will match the job requirements and help find the right job that is in tune with their potential and expertise;
• To establish a forum wherein kurumas facing problems in either their profession or personal life can disclose the same and seek solutions from experts to the issues troubling them.

I have great pleasure in welcoming you into the hallowed portals of the vibrant and progressive Kuruba community. May I take this opportunity to THANK each and every one of you for your kind support during my tenure of service to the organization.
You are all aware that Kuruba community has by dint of hard work and strong work culture distinguished itself in various fields across the world. It is our endeavour that this dynamism and momentum is carried forward in a sustained manner so that the excellence of our community’s glory spreads to every nook and corner of the world. As President, I can only assure you that we will try to do our very best to keep the spirit of Kuruba community alive and well, the events of which will be well-chronicled in this website from time to time.
It is my earnest wish that to ensure the community’s vibrancy and potency, education and employment must be given top preference. For it is education that empowers our youth with knowledge and with knowledge comes plentiful employment opportunities. As such, we need to increase the percentage of literacy and employment, so that the public will recognize our community, and give it the respect it so richly deserves, putting it on a par with other progressive communities. It is also vital that the people who are in employment and capable of helping others must play their due roles in lending a helping hand to the disadvantaged and not so fortunate members of the community
I request you to let me know what I should do to further strengthen the organization and serve you better. I will be keenly anticipating your valued suggestions and ideas to improve the cohesiveness and richness of our community. Meanwhile, if each one of you would add one more member to the organization, it will go a long way in the service of the community.
Once again, with best wishes,
